High School Historians

Two Park Ridge High School students have been putting their summer to good use by volunteering at the Pascack Historical Society Museum.  Sophmores Dimpy Mehra, left, and Janine St. Jacques stand near a glass case containing an antique handbag display that they designed and created recently.

The young history buffs are members of society’s teenage volunteer group, which is part of Pascack Adventures, the education arm of the 63-year old not-for-profit service organization.  Teen membership is free and open to residents of the Pascack Valley. Volunteer jobs are tailor-made for each student concentrating on his/her areas of historical interest.  Located at 19 Ridge Avenue in Park Ridge, the Museum is open for visitors Wednesdays from 10 a.m until noon and Sundays from 1 until 4. For further information about the teen program call Carol Riccardo at (201) 391-0079 or (201) 666- 0121.
